Local Committees on Drug Awareness 

Local Committees on Drug Awareness are community based volunteer groups associated with Addiction Services. The committees advocate for comprehensive addiction prevention and treatment services for the communities in the Cape Breton District Health Authority. Committee members participate in awareness activities and they also assist in evaluating services and programs offered by Addiction Services through representation on the Addiction Services Advisory Council. Local Committees on Drug Awareness are made up of members of the general public, former clients of Addiction Services and representatives of community agencies.
